The Many Adventures of Sam and Steph
The inspiration for this series is the relationship I share with my dog, Sam. Back in 2014 I was diagnosed with PTSD and after trying different healing processes, and with the recommendation of a mental health counselor, I decided to try the path of an Emotion Support Animal, thus starting mine and Sam's adventures. Within the images you will find miniature skeleton figures, standing from 3-5 inches. I chose to use these figures as a representation that my trauma is linked to my childhood but, also to make the figures be more connectable since there isn't an obvious gender. The scenes are set up with common human/dog relationships in mind but also scenes to show how our relationship can differ.
